We are pleased to announce that Brenda Peters, President of CryoCare has relocated to New York City (address below). This location will offer you more convenience and is an active, practical headquarters for Brenda. She looks forward to hearing from you so that she may be of assistance. CryoCare is only one year old and already standing tall! The following is a brief look at our first year's accomplishments. **we developed a unique, unbundled organizational structure which allows for true specialization, removes conflicts of interest, and promotes competition **we constructed innovative bylaws which create two distinct kinds of Directors providing better protection for patients: Member Directors, who represent the living members and are elected by them and Patient Directors, who represent the cryopreserved patients, are elected by the Patient Advocates (themselves the appointed representatives of the patients) and are always a majority **we created The Independent Patient Care Foundation, a truly secure repository for the funds of the people who enter cryopreservation and which is completely separated from the interests of our living members **we utilize a strong emergency response capability and have developed innovations for faster data retrieval in critical situations **we created a unique Patient Advocate option designed to give you greater control over your fate after you become a patient, and is a backup mechanism to CryoCare itself **we developed new sign-up documents that are easier to use than in the past **we created literature describing cryonics and the services we offer **we found high quality officers and directors (BTW there's an election in April) **we established boards of advisors for medicine, science, legal and business ment, who have professional expertise in these fields **we have taken the time and spent the money to have our organization, our legal documents and our tax status thoroughly refined and scrutinized by professionals **we participated in The 1994 World Science Fiction Convention, The Conference on Anti-Aging Medicine & Biomedical Technology, and The Cryonics/Life Extension Conference **we created a CryoCare Security Fund which provides substantial liquidity in emergencies **our members are holding regular meetings across the U.S. and Canada **our officers and directors have undergone background checks and this will be required of all future officers and directors before they assume office **we have over 100 members and are the fastest growing cryonics organization in history We are very optimistic about growth and achievement for CryoCare and our service providers in the coming year. Projects under way in the areas of research and development could make 1995 the most exciting year in cryonics history. We hope you'll choose to participate in helping cryonics grow this year. May your holiday season be filled with warmth, joy, and the happiest of times!
