>I think Mr. Perry E. Metzger and Mr. Robert D. Grahame miss my point.
>What I am implying is that it is time to look at alternative methods.

The method you proposed, Peltier Effect cooling, is well understood,
completely impractical for the stated application, and would have no
impact on the fairly iron laws of how quickly or slowly you can cool
an object.

>For example last year the lowest temperature in the Universe was
>achieved by stopping atoms from vibrating with laser beams.

Humans are larger than atoms.

Its easy enough to do the physics calculations on these things. They
aren't very challenging.

>Let me also remind them until recently scientist thought is was
>impossible to resolve with light objects smaller than the wave length
>of light.

To my knowldege, it is still impossible to do so -- STMs and AFMs
don't use light.

>Let us not forget before the Russians put up the first Sputnik it was
>believed then to be impossible.

No it wasn't. It was understood for a very long time, except by the
New York Times, that it was technically possble to launch satelites
into space. The history of space exploration that I have shows
newspaper illustrations about how artificial satelits might work from
years before the Sputnik launch.

>By the way Einstein showed that Newton was wrong! So much for theory.

If you are proposing that Newton's Cooling Law is wrong, please
describe an alternative formulation.

If you have a specific functioning technique to propose, propose
it. Otherwise, please find a better passtime.
