WWN makes money from its stupidities.  C & B are potentially educable
individuals, with rather different motives than WWN.  No doubt they will
be improved by being shouted at loudly and frequently.

I'm not saying we should put up with C & B because of their right to speak
out.  If you want to see progress in this field, then you've got to
tolerate something you haven't seen before.  Look at Darwin's attempt to
suppress Doug Skrecky -- that's exactly the attitude that prevents good
ideas from escaping from the surrounding clutter.  The day after Platt
chases C & B out, we lose Skrecky (and me - my skin isn't so thick either.)

I'm not talking about their right to speak, I'm talking about your (and my)
right to hear.  Let me put it differently:  You are offered the option of
only reading material that Charles Platt feels should be posted.  Would you
accept this?
