X-Message-Number: 3675 Date: Thu, 12 Jan 1995 13:47:45 -0800 From: (American Cryonics Society) Subject: CRYONICS Margaret Bradshaw Memorial Service A memorial service honoring Margaret Bradshaw, a long-time member and Governor of the American Cryonics Society, will be held this Sunday, January 15, 1:30 PM, at the Chapel of Roses, Oak Hill Memorial Park, off Monterey Road, near Curtner, San Jose, CA. Margaret died suddenly and unexpectedly, by her own hand, in the early morning hours of Monday, January 9. ACS was notified shortly thereafter. I was a member of the ACS team who went to the coroner's office and packed Margaret's head in ice. The Medical Examiner released the remains around noon. Margaret was flown to Rancho Cucamunga and perfused by a team at BioPreservation. Margaret will be stored at CryoSpan. We at ACS learned later that Margaret had for years been undergoing treatment for chronic depression. Margaret has been a suspension member of the American Cryonics Society since 1985. She worked as a project manager for Sterling Software, an on-base contractor to NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View. While at Sterling, she worked closely with long-time cryonics activist Jerry White. They became very good friends. Margaret attended Jerry during his long battle with AIDS, and was a member of the suspension team for Jerry. Margaret was also a suspension team member for several other suspensions. Margaret was a good friend to cryonics. We at ACS will miss her. Margaret's friend Nancy Witstine, who is arranging the memorial service, has designated the American Cryonics Society to receive any donations honoring Margaret.
