Subject: SCI.CRYONICS - Economist article on aging

In the Economist magazine of January 7, 1995, the Science and Technology
section is taken up with a 3-page article headed "Forward to Methusaleh:
Biologists think they understand why organisms age. Soon they may start
doing something about it."

The article is very open-minded, outlining the work of Michael Rose,
Thomas Johnson, Bruce Ames and George Martin, within the context of
Thomas Kirkwood's theories.

It presents us with an exceptional opportunity to reply and be read by
the readership of the most influential magazine in the world, as well as
to attempt to make personal contact with the Science and Technology
writer in the hope that s/he will consider presenting as clear a
statement of the situation regarding cryonics.

If anyone is having trouble finding The Economist, contact me by email or
by fax at 1-919-933-6555.

Ever optimistically,

Robin
