Not a good idea, since microwave ovens are built to transmit at a
resonant frequency of liquid water.  As such, as soon as a part of the
animal gets above freezing, that part will heat up much faster than the
still frozen parts -- exactly the opposite of what's presumably desired.

Maybe a high power HF transmitter/amplifier, like those used for ham
radio, would work better?
