Message-Id: <> ----------------------------------------------------------------- [\CEL\SECRTARY\ITEM3-4.ASC] - BEGIN ----------------------------------------------------------------- REPORT ON RECENT CONTACTS WITH LEGISLATORS By Allen Lopp Twice this summer I have written to the legislators that chair the committees in each legislative house that review bills addressing health matters: Assemblyman Bruce Bronzan (D-31- Fresno) on the Assembly Health Committee, and Senator Diane Watson (D-28-Inglewood) on the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. I have not heard from Assemblyman Bronzan, but Senator Watson is having members of her staff research the legislative questions of cryonics quite thoroughly. I have talked with one of her aides on the phone and even visited the aide in Sacramento earlier this month. I do not have any communication from Senator Watson, and no inkling of her thoughts on cryonics or what type of legislation is appropriate. I urge all cryonicists to write Senator Watson NOW!!! Thank her for her interest in researching cryonics and her responsiveness to my inquiries (don't hesitate to mention my name if you care to). Write her at this address: The Honorable Diane Watson California State Senate 4040 State Capitol Sacramento CA 95814 If you don't have time to write, call her Sacramento office at (916) 445-5215. Just explain that you have been told that she is researching cryonics for possible legislative action, that you wish to thank her for her interest, and that you wish for cryonic suspension to remain legal and available in California. As always, the cryonic suspension you defend may be your own! ----------------------------------------------------------------- [\CEL\SECRTARY\ITEM3-4.ASC] - END ----------------------------------------------------------------- Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=390
