X-Message-Number: 3942 From: (Thomas Donaldson) Subject: Re: CryoNet #3915 - #3922 Date: Thu, 2 Mar 1995 10:18:50 -0800 (PST) Hi again! This isn't a comment on THIS set of cryonet postings, but on a posting Mike Darwin made in the FOLLOWING set. First, I'm very pleased that Biopreservation is working on NEURAL preservation now, and seems to be doing so intensively. Second, has anyone translated Suda's Japanese papers? Even a rough translation would be very helpful. I've known that he did a lot more work, all in Japanese, ever since I met him, but haven't tried to get that material because it was, after all, unreadable to me (no Japanese translators to hand). And is there any possibility I could get copies of all the stuff you got from Suda? That would be intensely interesting --- especially given a translation. I do know that he published at least one more paper in English, not in NATURE but in one of the brain research journals. It discussed (from my memory) the effects of long term preservation at -70C and other temperatures too. Long long life, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=3942
