This has been a difficult issue for Alcor's Board of Directors ever since Mike left Alcor. Frequently the Directors and I have not agreed on where to draw the line. For instance, if Mike asks for copies of confidential patient information, even if he *wrote* that confidential report, should we give it to him? Would we give it to anyone else? (rhetorical questions in the context of CryoNet; not ones to be debated here.) And since Mike threw various e-mail bombs over his shoulder toward Alcor and its Directors when he left, some hard feelings persist. Fewer people are now willing to go out of their way to help Mike, especially in what remains a competitive situation. So, yes, sometimes Mike has found it easier to ask other people to obtain copies of certain materials for him. Now, on the question of the specific Suda published or unpublished material supposedly here at Alcor: Hugh Hixon and I don't know where that is; as in all moves, our move to Arizona last year resulted in material being in different places. I don't believe I ever saw it in the first place; Hugh isn't sure. I don't think we have time to begin a search until next week (unless it shows up in the first place we look); but we can try to track it down then. Thomas Donaldson and Mike Price want copies, in addition to Mike Darwin himself, I assume. If I can find them, I'll be happy to have copies made for all three of them. There will be some kind of copying charge for this, since I won't charge our "digging through files" time. If others want copies, please e-mail me privately at But remember that this material is largely in Japanese and will be a pain to gather up and copy. Please, no frivolous requests just so you can say you have it. Steve Bridge Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=3985
