Hans Moravec's new book, 'Mind Children: The Future of Robot and Human
Intelligence' was given a rather scathing review in Nature (Vol. 336,
November 17 1988, page 284). The opening two sentences of the review are:
"Mind Children is a frightening tale of the potential for the development
of superhuman 'intellect' in machines. The horror lies not so much in the
actual content of the book, but in the fact that Hans Moravec suggests that
a future in which the biological has been eradicated in favour of the
technological is 'wonderful' and 'exciting'."

I think the reviewer does not approve of uploading.

The author of the review is Igor Aleksander, Professor of Neural Systems
Engineering and Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at
Imperial College, University of London.
