No one here wants to stop you from studying uploading. We just think it is not
a PRESENTLY VIABLE idea. It's open to you to prove that we are wrong. Speaking
for myself only, I would want to see a lot more calculations before I accepted
that your interferometry idea could read off enough of our brains to matter
(As you know, there are already methods to tell what brain regions are active;
but to copy yourself you will need far higher resolution --- and if I under-
stand what you are saying about QM, a much longer time). If time becomes 
important, of course, then the fact that our brains are constantly changing 
gives you one more barrier to surmount. (Neurons may not divide, but they are
all very active cells... doing such things as moving dendrites, growing new 
ones, etc).

But maybe you can teach us a valuable lesson. So go ahead.
