I know Alcor is soliciting funds; and I know Saul Kent is putting a speculative research investment project together. I would like to comment that for many people it may be psychologically advantageous to have at least a _pretense_ of investment rather than donation, even more so when, as in my case, family finances are shared and the rest of the family is moderately hostile to cryonics. Maybe the chance of the investment paying off is on the level of winning the lottery, but then again, surely we all have an optimistic streak? And, honestly, it is easier to make any kind of investment than a donation to a disputed cause in my case. So I look forward to seeing Saul Kent's proposal, and I wonder if Alcor or CI considers something similar! Always optimistically, Robin HL Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=4495
