Hi!

Nanotechnology exists all over, if you look for it. One of the more interesting
articles in the same issue of NATURE quoted by John Clark was the article on
designing E. coli to make specific, designed molecules of the polyketide 
family. And yes, using carbon nanotubes as templates for synthesis of other
structures looks very promising, too. NATURE and SCIENCE are both good journals
to look at if you want to get an idea of what's going on around you.
