One of the main points I've picked up from this straight freeze thread is that the cost savings of a straight freeze over a cryoprotectant freeze are small since most of the costs are tied up with getting the body quickly, cool-down and long term storage costs. Steve Bridge guessed the savings would be of the order of 15K. Therefore, all the negatives associated with a straight freeze outweigh the small cost savings.
