I am forwarding this message from David Stodolsky, because the view from
Europe is a little different than from North America. (You think levels
of taxation and government restriction are high in the US?!)

Of course, zero Income Tax and zero Inheritance Tax (or Death Duties) are
both key aspects of the Bahamian economy - on the other hand, I believe
that applications for Permanent Residence cost a couple of thousand dollars.

Not that we necessarily want _Permanent_ residence, but the guarantee of
a couple of hundred years might be nice.... :-)

Re: CryoIndividualism

I think you should investigate the option of taking advantage of the
favorable tax situation in the Bahamas and then the necessary
facilities to make full use of it. For people in high tax countries,
like Denmark, where tax is 50+% this could make a big difference.

Also, I think that there is a good chance of social disruption in
the USA in the future, and US companies might need to bail out.

The lack of LN would not be important if fixation was chosen as the
low cost info preserving option.
