Lynch" <> Subject: Re: Memory, ischemia and freezing: let's put the discussion on the web All cryonet messages are going onto the web. In http://www.access.digex.net/~kfl/les/cryonet I have all the messages indexed by number, by author, and by keyword. I'm working on indexing them by thread, so that every message points to every message it quotes, and to every message that quotes it. (I'm interested in any suggestions on how to efficiently automate this.) For instance http://www.access.digex.net/~kfl/les/cryonet/fMerkleR.html consists of a links to your web page, to your e-mail address, and to every message of yours that has ever been posted to Cryonet. There's a similar page for everyone else who has ever posted to Cryonet. It sounds like you are proposing a new reference message. Cryonet reference messages all begin with 0, and are on the web in my area, in Kevin Brown's, and in Tim Freeman's. > As a consequence, it might be useful if someone were to volunteer > as webmaster of the "Memory, ischemia and freezing home page." Perhaps this could be added to the FAQ, once someone writes it up. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about memory, ischemia, or freezing damage to write it myself. Perhaps someone should appoint themselves nagmaster. This is someone who replies to every redundant message, saying something like "this was discussed in July 1969, see messages 31415, 953, and 58979; here's how to retrieve those messages...". For instance, the rec.puzzles newsgroup has a nagmaster. -- Keith Lynch, http://www.access.digex.net/~kfl/ Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=5004
