Yes. I know of at least two such countries. I actually had a dozen reps (very smart cookies) from one of them come to see me. There was only problem: the people they were interested in me freezing were not interested in it personally at all. You probably saw some of them on TV standing in front of tanks a few years ago. I sympathized with the potential subjects more than with the visitors. However, since they are removing kidneys, hearts and livers for other purposes from these subjects, it seemed a shame to them to let perfectly good brains go to waste, especially considering how bady they wanted reversible brain cryopreservation. And besides, they were under considerable time pressure. I declined. It was hard decision. A piece advice: you would do well not find yourself in the antemortem care facilities of these countries awaiting cryopreservation. It's not that you would not get cryopreserved under very good conditions, but rather that you would not stay that way very long. Real-time results oriented research, you know, requires real-time evaluation of the outcome. Mike Darwin "Once zee rockets are up, who cares where zey come down, says Whener Von Braun."
