You think it would take fewer resources to run a person in software?

What makes you think we'll be charity cases?  I don't think we will.
If the money in our patient care trust funds runs out, is stolen, is
taxed away, or becomes worthless, then we will almost certainly be
thawed out and die.  Otherwise, that money should suffice to revive us.
