Lynch" <> Subject: Motion detectors In #5468, Doug Skrecky <> asks: > Could a motion sensor injected under the skin or implanted in a > filling serve as an effective future warning system? For a young healthy person, motion or heartbeat sensors are much more likely to give a false alarm than a true one. For alarms to be practical, there would have to be someone local to check on them. Otherwise, there would be numerous cases of a suspension team flying thousands of miles with all their equipment, only to find that their patient is fine. And a few cases of the sensor failing to notify anyone of a real death due to a dead battery or broken transmitter. For people who live alone such as myself, maybe the sensor could be hooked to the thermostat, so as to turn off the heat and turn on the air conditioner full blast? -- Keith Lynch, http://www.access.digex.net/~kfl/ Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=5488
