Subject: Fixation

Thanks to Doug Skrecky for pointing out that red blood
cells can survive some types of fixation. I find that truly
astonishing!

As to freeze drying: I will take freeze drying seriously
in cryonics when I see conventional medical science take
freeze drying seriously as a technology for banking tissues
and organs for transplant. I don't see this happening any
time in the foreseeable future.
