If Cryonics is to work we must have a technology able to make extensive repairs, at the molecular level, of the most complicated object in the known universe, the human brain. If the technology can do that, then finding a suitable replacement for your left knee cap will not be a problem too tough to solve. >One reason for full body is the belief that there is a fair >bit of information in the body, nervous system information, >including things such as fine motor control. Information yes, but much of it is genetic and you can get that from any cell that has DNA in it. As for the information in the spinal cord that has been learned, little of it is optimal and I don't think any of it has anything to do with identity. Those with broken spinal cords seem to be the same people, even if they are understandably depressed due to the disability. There are advantages to Neuro that make up for it's bad public relations. It's cheaper to maintain so you have a better chance of staying frozen until the age of Nanotechnology. It's also easier to move and easier to hide. Others know a lot more about it than me, but I have a strong hunch that if Dora Kent had been a full body, she would have been thawed, autopsied, and be buried in a grave yard by now. Instead she has a fighting chance of achieving immortality.
