Subject: Mike Darwin Dinner Event in Toronto, Canada 25 Feb 96

                       MEET MIKE DARWIN DINNER

Mike Darwin has had more hands-on experience with cryonics
than anyone else in the world. He has personally cryopreserved far
more people than anyone else. He was President of Alcor Foundation
during most of the 1980s. In that period he edited the Alcor magazine
(CRYONICS) and was instrumental in formulating policies which helped
make Alcor the largest cryonics organization. Mike also spent much
of his time at Alcor doing research. He left Alcor in 1992 and
established BioPreservation, Inc. (BPI). At BPI he does full-time
cryonics research when he is not doing cryopreservation of patients
for CryoCare and the American Cryonics Society.

Mike Darwin is a fund of information about people & events in
cryonics history as well as about the contemporary cryobiological
accomplishments & challenges of cryonics research. Mike Darwin is
coming to Toronto at the end of February, when you can meet him and
ask him questions. You can also meet with other Toronto-area
cryonicists, including Cryonics Society of Canada President (and
CryoCare Secretary) Ben Best, who will have recently returned from
the mid-February Alcor Cryonics Technology Festival in Arizona.

The Meet Mike Darwin Dinner will be at the Health Haven Restaurant
(formerly The Vegetarian Restaurant) at 4 DunDonald Street in Toronto.
This non-smoking restaurant is located one block north of the Wellesley
subway station, just east of the NorthEast corner of DunDonald & Yonge
Streets. The dinner will begin February 25th at 4:30pm (16:30) on
Sunday Afternoon when the restauant opens. It will continue into the
early evening, perhaps until 9pm (21:00) when the restaurant closes.
We will be in the south end of the restaurant. All interested persons
are welcome to attend and to drop-in or leave at any time (as their
schedules permit). There is no charge for attendance and the purchase
of food is optional.
