X-Message-Number: 5886 From: Date: Wed, 6 Mar 1996 14:01:33 -0500 Subject: earthquakes In the last week two people have privately expressed concern and raised an issue I do not recall having been discussed before in public. For those who haven't thought of it, it probably deserves mentioning, no matter whose ox is gored. In an earthquake-prone area, special safety features of the building could help, but do not address all the potential problems. If there were a MAJOR earthquake, even if the storage building suffered no damage, there could still be protracted interruption of access and of services of many kinds, including nitrogen delivery.
