He has said several times that making a statement about death (possibly by
taking his own life) was more important to him than cryonics. I don't
think he ever wholeheartedly believed cryonics would work. Also, whereas
it was a fun concept to play with in the past, it became an increasingly
morbid burden as death became more imminent. Those are my theories.
