X-Message-Number: 6202 Date: Tue, 14 May 96 10:38:34 From: Mike Perry <> Subject: Re "One Life is Enough" I want to thank both David Stodolsky and Tim Freeman for responding to my posting about why people reject cryonics on the claimed grounds that "one life is enough." Both appear to suggest, in one way or another, that the pressure or need to conform is at the root of the problem. If that is true, it gives us a difficult catch-22 situation. Until it seems "normal" to sign up, not many will sign up; and on the other hand, it won't seem "normal" until many are already signed up. Unless, somehow, we can persuade people that it's "normal" for other reasons. Again, further comments are appreciated.
