I am not a total Leary fan, but I think this is unfair to him. At various times (most notably inside the federal prison system, and when escaping from it) he showed amazing courage--more courage than I have, and I'm signed up for cryonics. What he does not seem to have is an interest in planning ahead. He has always gone for quick gratification, quick payoff. This was very much a sixties trait: forget the future, get high right now on [your choice here]. No one was very interested in delayed gratification. Cryonics, however, requires us to make some sacrifice today (financial, life style, whatever) in the hope of the most delayed gratification one can imagine. --CP -- ############################################################ Charles Platt Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=6256
