It takes courage to step forward and provide leadership for what many people would view as an unpopular cause. Thank you, Steve, for taking it on - there are a lot of people who wouldn't. It looks like Alcor is going to have to put out a "standard disclaimer" for member David Costenza. I have been following the cryonics movement for a couple of years now, and I am afraid that Mr. Costenza (who I know only through his posts on this forum) has been the source of more ill will, and brought more discredit upon himself and cryonics in general, than any other individual posting here. I would not be shocked to learn that he has similiar self-destructive behaviours in his personal life. With friends like this, cryonics has no place to put it's enemies! The only positive thing that I can think of about Mr. Costenza's activity in cryonics is that he provides a glaring point of contrast to the professionalism and maturity that I see exemplified in the posts of those who are forced to defend themselves and their organizations from his vindictiveness and machinations. To David Costenza: Since you have ignored sound advice from many others, I am not going to offer you mine. If there is any chance that the objective opinion of a stranger, formed only by your own posts, matters at all to you, I would only ask you to consider the damage that you do. For the benefit of anything worthwhile that you might have done for cryonics in the past, please stop now. Steve. ------------------------------------------------------------- Stephen Bogner, P.Eng.
