Hi!

I want to add my voice to that of Saul about cooperation on research. There
really should be much more than now, even though there is some. It would be
absurd for each cryonics society to have to reinvent what the others are all
busy inventing for themselves. 

This is actually a very biting point. I note, for instance, that Paul Segall
and his colleagues, almost by pure empiricism, managed to produce suspension
solutions about as good as those of Alcor, several years ago. That kind of 
thing is essentially a waste of time and money, and it's already happened
at least once. We don't have to become one big happy family, nor do we have
to give up any possible commercial benefits, nor do we have to even like
one another. In case some people have forgotten, our real enemy is not Mike
Darwin or Dave Cosenza or Charles Platt or whoever. It is Death itself, and
so far that enemy has shown no particular favoritism toward one or another
faction of cryonicists.
