I want to add my voice to that of Saul about cooperation on research. There really should be much more than now, even though there is some. It would be absurd for each cryonics society to have to reinvent what the others are all busy inventing for themselves. This is actually a very biting point. I note, for instance, that Paul Segall and his colleagues, almost by pure empiricism, managed to produce suspension solutions about as good as those of Alcor, several years ago. That kind of thing is essentially a waste of time and money, and it's already happened at least once. We don't have to become one big happy family, nor do we have to give up any possible commercial benefits, nor do we have to even like one another. In case some people have forgotten, our real enemy is not Mike Darwin or Dave Cosenza or Charles Platt or whoever. It is Death itself, and so far that enemy has shown no particular favoritism toward one or another faction of cryonicists. Long long life, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=6310
