I would suggest that those who still believe, like Eric Stadler, both
that a soul exists and that a person could continue on seemingly
unchanged but with their soul "gone" read "The Unfortunate Dualist" in
the collection "The Mind's Eye"...

Suffice it to say, the logical consequences of this form of dualism
are, to say the least, ridiculous...
