Subject: Terra Libra list reanimated

Some of you may have been subscribers to the mailing list for the
freedom organisation terra-libra. They suddenly stopped their mailing
list. I have got the names and revived it, and hope to make it into a
vigourous discussion area for freedom issues. If anyone would like to
subscribe, please email for full details. [It is, of course free.]

In particular I will be bringing in the subject of cryonic suspension,
because whether they accept it or not freedom seeks must accept others'
freedom to use it without hindrance. At present most of the financial
and organisational problems relate to artificial structures of
government and professional interests. In fact the only one that doesn't
is the basic matter of whether the client has the funds in the first
place. If he only *just* has enough, then the professional and
governmental overhead is enough to tip the balance the wrong way. [In
case anyone brings it up again, life insurance produces less gain than
a direct investment in the same securities. Of course the life cover
and professional management has its cost.]

The debate on <uk.legal> earlier this year focussed on the matter as to
whether cryonicists should be allowed "special favours" in not having
part of their money confiscated on death and their bodies cut up for
medical and legal research.
