Subject: Thomas is right

Thomas made some very important points that I think are worth repeating to
those who think the government of noncryonicist some other
knights on white horses will save us.

I agree with Thomas that "money is the only SIGNIFICANT obstacle" standing
in the way of developing reversable animation. If we are really serious
about not being in the last generation that has to die, we have to raise
the money ourselves to perfect cryonics. No one else will perfect it, no
one else will raise the money.

I also do not believe there is much chance of youth-drugs being invented
our lifetimes. I think we are going to have to go into the tanks to
survive. We should at least prepare for that, and if we get lucky on
the way, good.

I agree with Thomas. I am sorry if I gave a different impression. But
that does not mean that WE cannot try to persuade THEM to contribute to some
degree. I am going to go outside cryonics next year to try to raise money,
but I am also going to be working hard inside cryonics. The two are not
mutually exclusive. Even though I agree with Thomas, I want to try going
outside cryonics just in case there is money there to be used for research
in cryonics. Our lives are at stake, lets leave no stones unturned.

This is where Thomas and I 100% agree.
