X-Message-Number: 6602 Date: Wed, 24 Jul 1996 21:32:11 -0400 (EDT) From: Ben Best <> Subject: SCI.CRYONICS Non-Partisanship and a gross oversight I should add to my recently-posted message that a majority of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Cryonics Society of Canada are Trans Time Members. This is not to say that these people support The Prometheus Project, only to say that Trans Times members are also a respected part of our organization. Trans Time people (through Bio-Time) are doing some excellent research in cooling whole mammals (hamsters) to temperatures below that previously acheived anywhere. I hope this research continues, and I hope that no-one doing cryonics-related research suffers because of a redirection of research funds. It may even be that these projects prove to be of mutual benefit, by raising awareness of the importance of research and of the research being done and perhaps of spin-off discoveries that prove to be of value to the other researchers. -- Ben Best () Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=6602
