The Prometheus Project:
Convincingly demonstrated, scientifically proven and published,
fully reversible long-term brain cryopreservation within 10 years.
Latest Pledge Totals
As of midnight PDT August 21, 1996, the total of pledges is $305,200 per
year for each of 10 years. The latest pledge came from Ken Greenwood, who in
private email I received last night stated:

As I recall talking to Ken at the gathering, he was there to meet cryonicists
for the first time "in the flesh" and is not yet signed up but is seriously
considering doing so. I remember encouraging him to be sure to visit all
cryonics facilities before he made his decision.
I would like to extend my hearty thanks to Ken for his sincere and earnest
desire to greatly improve the chances to vastly extend his life.
Pledge totals in each dollar level are now:
3 for $50,000 per year for 10 years,
8 for $10,000 per year for 10 years,
7 for $5,000 per year for 10 years,
1 for $4,000 per year for 10 years,
1 for $3,000 per year for 10 years,
1 for $2,500 per year for 10 years,
4 for $2,000 per year for 10 years,
1 for $1,200 per year for 10 years,
21 for $1,000 per year for 10 years,
1 for $500 per year for 10 years.
The 48 pledges total $3,052,000 over all ten years.

France $2,000
Sweden $1,000
United States $270,700
No country $5,000
Even though we have support from Australia, Canada, France and Sweden, none
has yet appeared from the UK. I find this a bit surprising since I know that
there are many dedicated and serious cryonicists in the UK. What is holding
you back? Are you going to sit there and let France, Sweden and your former
"colonies" Australia and Canada out-pledge you? ;)
