Just because something is heresay doesn't mean that it isn't true. While Charles was busy alienating everyone in sight and planning his journalistic masterpiece, I, not being content to wait for his opus, was busy on the phone gathering facts. Apparently, Charles assumes that he was the only participant who would ever have relayed the story. > > My own account of the Leary standby is still on the CryoCare web page at > http://www.cryocare.org/cryocare, and this account will be printed in the > upcoming issue of CryoCare Report, with several photographs. The Report is > being assembled now and should be mailed within two weeks. > > I won't be saying anything more about this case, since I've said it all > before. > > --Charles Platt > I read Platt's article, and I agree with Carlos Mondragon's assement. I did find it appalling though that CryoCare would have intentionally taken someone without full funding-- something one of the founders of CryoCare was doing 25 years ago before CSNY went belly up. This might be excusable if Alcor were to do it, but CryoCare just doesn't have the resources to absorb the cost. The admission of CryoCare's motives in Platt's article was unexpectadly frank and hardly needs further comment from me. -dc -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Cosenza 1264-bit Key fingerprint = BF 6C AA 44 C6 CA 13 3F 4A EC 0A 90 AE F3 74 6D 4096-bit Key fingerprint = A4 79 15 79 D2 73 7D 3F 34 88 2E ED 93 6F 46 B1 "When encryption is outlawed, only outlaws will have encryption."
