Concerning Paul Wakfer's posting about publishing Prometheus Project (PP)
information:

First, I'm sorry we didn't answer sooner. We were up to our eyeballs (now
we're only up to our chins) and there were higher priorities.

Second, THE IMMORTALIST has never accepted paid advertising, and that is
still our policy.

Third, we will not make any promises about PP coverage, but will continue to
do whatever we think appropriate from time to time.

On the broader questions of competing research projects:

The Cryonics Institute and the Immortalist Society have had research projects
ongoing for years. Now these will be shifting into higher gear and changing
focus to the Visser technique. I believe these projects--and possible
additional joint ventures--are likely to produce more results, and MUCH
sooner, than PP.

For several months now--since before launching of PP--I have been pretty sure
that the Visser break-through was genuine and of primary importance. This has
now been verified here in Arizona. My feeling that PP should not monopolize
research funding of course now is rock solid.

Somehow I doubt that Paul, or those most closely aligned with him, will give
much coverage or advocacy to projects other than PP. Neither will we make
any strenuous efforts to divert potential funding from our own projects to
others.
