X-Message-Number: 6925 Date: Tue, 17 Sep 96 17:26:38 From: Steve Bridge <> Subject: Private matters remain private To CryoNet >From Steve Bridge, Alcor September 17, 1996 While I will try to reply, as Alcor's President, to questions as often as I have time to do so (NOT hourly), there will be some areas I cannot discuss in public. CryoNet is NOT private; it is public. It is accessible by anyone with WWW access, for instance. This will often mean I cannot discuss reasonable or valuable suggestions publicly. Examples of this might include suggestions of researchers with whom Alcor might wish to contract, or what legal strategies Alcor or other organizations might be pursuing relating to patents, lawsuits, and disputes with governmental agencies. Business contracts and legal strategies are not appropriate subjects for public discussion. Interesting, yes. Appropriate, no. Cryonicists who have such suggestions would be better advised to make them by *private* e-mail, where they have a greater chance of being considered fairly and answered. Since we cannot answer them publicly, continued attempts to ask questions on CryoNet which should be asked privately will appear to have more to do with the sender's sense of self or sense of politics than with a sincere desire to impart information or cooperation.
