Subject: Moral of the story

Last note:-

Had I not been in a position to research and finance my own project, and
if I had to depend on protocol approval for research funding, the rat
heart cryo revival would not have happened now, possibly not this century,
and who knows, maybe never.

The moral of this story is:

An unknown scientist, with a unknown protocol, using an unknown method,
with an unknown solution, is sometimes the only way to solve some problems.

Had I approached any of you with my initial protocol, I believe not one
of you would have taken me seriously, and certainly none of you would have
contributed one dime towards the project.

CI/Alcor and Prof. Ettinger in particular have told you that he has seen
the procedure, has first hand knowledge of the technology, and he believes
that it is worth investigating.

Under the circumstances, any cryonicist who asks for more information,
is "looking a gift horse in the mouth" so to speak, has an agenda or
ulterior motives and obviously does not take their own "preservation"
seriously.

It is ironic if any member were to entrust their bodies for preservation
and freezing to the management of their respective organizations, yet
question this same management's judgement on testing a new procedure,
well knowing the constraints that management is working under.
I believe every cryonicist is fully aware of the limitations of the
current cryonics procedures.

I must however sympathize with Prof. Ettinger, in his contemplation of
un subscribing to cryonet.
Many will be the poorer for it.
The petty bickering and agenda driven mail would drive anyone insane,
especially if you are expected to respond to it.
How about a clean, new web site with private membership?

Best wishes,

Olga
