X-Message-Number: 6969 Date: Mon, 23 Sep 96 15:43:17 From: Steve Bridge <> Subject: Cryonics in German Playboy To CryoNet >From Steve Bridge, Alcor September 23, 1996 We just received our copy of October, 1996 issue of *Playboy* (Germany), with a major article on cryonics. The issue is more or less science fiction/future science oriented, looking more like *Omni* than *Playboy*. Except for those distracting pictures of naked women which just get in the way of the real meat (so to speak) of the magazine. Ahem. The rest of the issue has articles on "Star Trek", "X-Files," UFO's, the future of the Internet, etc. The cryonics article is substantial (8 pages, but I can't read German, remember), with a beautiful picture of Alcor's building at night, plus photos of Dan McIntyre, Robert Ettinger, Art Quaife, Mike Perry (oddly mis-identified as Mike "Kelly" -- a real challenge for Mike's theories on identity), Ralph Merkle, and myself. The cryonics article is on (let me page through the entire magazine just one more time to make sure I didn't miss a page) p. 92-99.
