Subject: ER

Thursday night's episode of "ER" featured a minor storyline involving an
elderly man who had cryonic suspension arrangements. In what could have been a
sensitive and informative snipped of cryonics turned into nothing more than an
instrument of dark, uncaring humor. The minor storyline also presented the
cryonics company representative as nothing more than a spaced out nerd. I
think this was a clear example of a storywriter's ignorance of his subject.
JEEEZZ, I expect more from the writers of this show....

While I'm on the subject, the second storyline involved a Med-Surg nurse,
who found herself working in ER....with no orientation. My wife, who is an
RN, and has worked both Med-Surg and ER just shook her head in disgust at
the writing.

On the upside, the major storyline was interesting. But, if you don't have
a good supporting foundation the main story won't stand out...and this one
didn't.
