However a search on NetScape revealed a whole bundle of sci-fi related websites. I checked out a few. One site in my own little home province of B.C.(pop. 3 million), Canada, "The Lonely Cry", an informal association of B.C. science fiction and fantasy writers <http://mars.ark.con/~lonewolf/> has had over 276,000 visitors alone. Other sites include the prestigeous "World Science Fiction Society/ Worldcon" <http://worldcon.org> which bestows the Hugo Awards. I think it is time, that all cryonics site owners actively pursue cross-linking with science fiction sites. The subjects could be something like: - "CRYONICS: the future has already begun" or - "CRYONICS: indefinite lifespan in our own time?" As the number of site visits to "The Lonely Cry" appears to indicate, there may well be an enormous potential for exposure to a populace, which is already preconditioned to accept, what others may dismiss as unrealistic dreaming. For those, who feel that there may be a liability in being associated with 'fiction', let me point out that the readers of this genre are well aware, that most of the good *science* fiction is written by scientists, whose conjecture of the future is based on extrapolation of present cutting edge scientific knowledge. *Think about it* Olaf Henny ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greed is a very positive motivating force. Without it (the desire to possess) man would still not have captured the fire, and would probably still be swinging from the trees in some of the warmer regions of this globe. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=7137
