Subject: DRC injections and lifespan

Dougs post in cryonet #7138, looks extreemly intresting if it pans out.
I wonder if this would be an area that the various cryonics
organisations would consider for further research.

I think most people involved in cryonics would consider a 144% lifespan
increase as a serious way of increasing the chances of your indefinite
survival. One problem with testing on humans is the time it takes to get
a result, but in this case, it can be done late in life and still have
an impact so results could be gained in several years if the test group
is large enough and the recipients are old enough.

Rats seem notorious at proving extended lifespan from some of the most
unlikely of sources but not usually by as much. A good way forward may
be to try testing this technique on larger mammals, perhaps apes.

Does anyone have any theorys about how this may work? Would the
injections be more infrequent in humans with a slower metabolic rate?
This looks like a good subject for discussion.

Regards

Chris
