Subject: Re: "Too many cryonicists"
From: (Edgar W Swank)

I'd like to disagree with Kelly Moy and Rafi Haftka re their
concerns about funding to revive "too many" cryonically suspended
individuals. Rafi said ...

I fully agree with Kelly Ann Moy's post #7188 warning about
having too many cryonicists. In addition, the process of
reviving an individual, rehabilitation and re-education (think
about reviving today somebody from the 18th century!) will
cost a lot. I think that funds will be available for the first
few hundreds cryonicists, possibly even sponsored by the media.
I don't know who will pay for millions of cryonicists.

They (at least some of them) will pay for themselves, with funds
they themselves have contributed before their legal deaths.
Suspension funds under ACS' control are accounted for by
individual member. Some other organizations have a common fund
for all their members. Members of these organizations should
provide excess funding elsewhere, either with ACS or another
organization like the Re-Animation Foundation.

A more proper subject of worry would be ways to keep governments
and others from looting the (possibly) billions or trillions of
dollars set aside for the millions of cryonicists.
