X-Message-Number: 7467 Date: Thu, 9 Jan 1997 11:13:32 -0500 (EST) From: Charles Platt <> Subject: Technology Festival Now that I have paid my admission fee to the technology festival later this month, I have some questions. I imagine other attendees may also be interested in these questions, so I will state them here: 1) I understand there will be a demo by Ms. Visser, attempting to replicate the rat-heart resuscitation experiment. I realize that in-person observation of this demo must be limited, for obvious technical reasons (e.g. we don't want a big crowd of people blundering around and knocking over equipment.) But how will the relatively small number of in-person observers be selected? By lottery, or...? 2) Since Alcor will be taking photographs at the conference, I wonder if other people will be allowed to take pictures too, and if so, will there be any restrictions? I ask because I consider this a newsworthy conference, and I sometimes write about newsworthy events for magazines. Also, like some other cryonicists, I like to keep photos of places I go and things I do just for my personal reference, in case I need to refresh my memory maybe 100 years in the future. --Charles Platt Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=7467
