X-Message-Number: 7560 Date: 24 Jan 97 16:50:09 EST From: Paul Wakfer <> Subject: Re: Another Patient - Cryomsg #7547 Since CryoSpan had obtained and transported this patient from a mortuary in Las Vegas on September 27, since we had expended considerable effort keeping him stored him at dry ice temperature during the 10 weeks it took the family to make up their minds what to do, since we had carefully packed him with dry ice into the shipping container supplied by CI after the family decided not to select CryoSpan for his long-term care, and since we were *not* one of the "others who prefer not to be named", I was a little surprised that Cryospan, Mark Connaughton, and I were not even mentioned in Bob Ettinger's post. For these services CryoSpan received only very minimal remuneration and there is still an unpaid bill outstanding with the family. In addition, it should be mentioned that Mike Darwin spent time examining the patient and several hours in counselling the bereaved and uncertain members of the family who knew very little about cryonics to begin with, all with no remuneration. -- Paul -- CryoSpan, Inc. - low cost & secure cryogenic storage of biological material 1313 N Market St. Suite 3410, Wilmington, DE 19801-1151 Email: Voice/Fax:909-481-4433 Pager:800-805-2870 Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=7560
