X-Message-Number: 772 Date: 28 Apr 92 16:40:38 EDT From: Michael <> Subject: Irony and Sunnyvale For those on the net who saw the recent Montel Williams Show that had Alcor and some nuts who "believed" they wouldn't die because they "knew" they didn't really have to die, there is an ironic and humorous twist. The nuts, who are really con persons who take advantage of the feeble minded, have their headquarters in SCOTTSDALE, Arizona. Their full page, four color ad is on p. 71 of the May '92 LONGEVITY magazine, which by the way has some good stuff in it. So, again, I owe an apology to Dave Pizer and our board because it is obvious Scottsdale would welcome us with open arms. We are "instream" compared to the others. Lastly, since I seem to be the chief critic of the move, my two cents pays for consideration of TransTime/Alavie's building in Sunnyvale. (This should be popular!) Over the weekend it was mentioned that TT could rent the enormous amount of space they have very cheaply. [ See messages #763 & #766 for details? - KQB ] A move to Sunnyvale would solve the volunteer problem as N. Cal has several. It allows S. Cal to activate it's volunteers. It does nothing for the earthquake problem. And it helps TT upgrade its services to its patients by being so close to Alcor (the most important consideration). If Mitchell is handled in our favor, Sunnyvale should be considered. Hang the competition nonsense. We are trying to give ALL cryonics patients the best care possible no matter who they sign up with. My best as always, Michael Paulle Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=772
