X-Message-Number: 776 Date: 29 Apr 92 02:36:07 EDT From: Thomas Donaldson <> Subject: Re: cryonics: #771 - #772 Hi Michael: Although in some ideal world having Alcor lodged in Alavie's building may be a good idea, I remember how these parties became alienated from one another very clearly and I doubt that we live in such an ideal world --- to put the matter mildly. TT and ACS, and Alcor, aren't simply "competitors". Alcor very seriously mistrusts both ACS and TT, about what they say of their own plans, about the value of any of their promises, and even about their treatment of patients. No relations can be constructed on the basis of mistrust. It will take some time to dissipate that mistrust. While again (in general) I feel unhappy that this situation arose, I know both sides and doubt that in our hard real world any such cooperation is possible. My own C'serve address will end up in this message; I will discuss that matter (at least from my own perspective, the best anyone can do) in much more detail if you wish.
