They are alive and well, and reports will follow in due course. Various aspects of the work are in stages of planning, ordering equipment and supplies, performing experiments, and writing reports. At least two of Dr. Pichugin's reports will shortly be available, generally via special issues of THE IMMORTALIST. (We are having space availability problems with the regular issues of THE IMMORTALIST, and many readers don't read the technical material.) We do not expect any quick, earth-shaking results, although we rule out nothing. Most of the work will probably require long, tedious efforts. But we are doing things not done before or elsewhere, and we are sure to learn something, and probably some useful things. The work involves several types of animal, including sheep, goats, rabbits, and cats. (We do not keep animals on CI or IS premises, and all experimental animals are euthanized immediately--killed painlessly--by a veterinarian; or in some cases freshly killed animals are bought from a slaughterhouse.) Your research donations are being put to good use. Please keep them coming. Donations to the Immortalist Society are tax deductible. (Steve Gallant in Britain recently sent us $3,000.)
