Speaking of alternative methods, haven't both you and Brian suggested
the possibility that slicing the brain into thin slices and soaking in
CPA, may be the most effective method, esp. after ischemia preludes
good perfusion? Also, wouldn't such a method offer the best possible
feedback as to effectiveness? I suppose this would also be a low-cost
alternative?

But it would seem to be a hard sell....
