Subject: ACS and Alcor North CA Meetings; one-stop cryonics shopping

There will be three cryonics events Sunday, June 8, 1997 in Northern
California. Here are the details, followed by a paragraph describing
each event, followed by directions:

What:	American Cryonics Society ("ACS") Board of Governors Meeting
When:	11 am, Sunday, June 8
Where: 1901 Old Middlefield Road, Suite 17, Mountain View, CA

What:	One-stop Cryonics Shopping
When:	2 pm, Sunday, June 8
Where: Extropian Exclave, 819 Pierino Ave., Sunnyvale, CA

What:	Alcor Northern California Cryonics Meeting and Potluck
When:	4 pm, Sunday, June 8
Where:	Extropian Exclave, 819 Pierino Ave., Sunnyvale, CA

ACS meeting:

This is a regular monthly meeting where the business of the society
will be discussed. Guests will be given an opportunity to ask
questions and to meet the ACS Governors. In addition to the ACS
cryonic suspension program, ACS sponsors a variety of valuable and
interesting programs to aid cryonicists in their quest for extended
life including a time-vault program, and an investment program of
individual cryonics trusts. Even if you are currently a suspension
member of another society, you should consider these special benefits
which are designed to supplement, not replace, your current
arrangements.

One-stop Cryonics Shopping:

This is a meeting organized by the Life Extension Fellowship of
Silicon Valley to help people make fast progress on their cryonics
paperwork. We'll have a notary, life insurance agents, witnesses,
paperwork for many cryonics organizations, and "Certificate of
Religious Belief" wallet cards. If you need the notary or the
insurance agent, please be prompt. If you intend to finish up
Alcor paperwork at this meeting, you must start it before the meeting;
contact Brian Shock at Alcor (800-367-9013) for more information.
Please treat this meeting as an opportunity, not a commitment -- just
because you come, you don't *have to* finish the paperwork while
you're there.

Alcor Northern California Cryonics Meeting and Potluck:

Alcor Northern California meetings are held on the second Sunday of
each month at various locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anyone
interested in cryonics is welcome to attend. Please bring food and/or
drink if you are staying for the potluck.

To get to the Exclave from 101: Take the Fair Oaks exit and head south
a couple of miles. When Fair Oaks splits from Wolfe Road, take the
right fork to stay on Fair Oaks. Old San Francisco Road is the last
light before Iris; make a left at Iris. Pierino is the fourth right
turn off of Iris. The Exclave is the last house on the right on
Pierino.

To get to the Exclave from 280: Take the Wolfe Road exit and head
north a couple of miles. El Camino Real is the last light before Iris;
make a left at Iris. Go about 0.3 mile and turn left on Pierino (after
Henrietta). The Exclave is the last house on the right on Pierino.
