Subject: Life Extension Breakthrough Conference

To all. In 1986, the Life Extension Foundation sponsored
the Life Extension Breakthrough conference at the Disneyland hotel in
Anaheim, California. Given the limited resources we had at the time, the
conference was a rousing success, with 500-to-600 people attending from
most areas of the U.S. and from 17 other countries including Australia and
New Zealand.

During this conference many people asked if there would be a
breakthrough conference the following year, and whether the conference
would be a yearly event. I told them I had no plans for any future break-
through conferences, but that I would let them know when I did.

Well, it's taken 11 years, but I am now formulating plans for
a follow-up conference. My current plans are to hold the next Life Extension
Breakthrough conference in March or April of 1999 (about 20 months from
now) at the Alexis Park Resort Hotel in Las Vegas. Many of you have been
to the Alexis Park to attend an A4M conference. It is where this years' A4M
conference will be held (in December).

The Alexis Park now boasts a brand new, state-of-the-art convention

center, which is not quite complete, but is already functional. The largest
room
in this center holds up to 3,000 people. By 1999, there may be space for
more than 3,000 people at the Alexis Park.

I intend to invite the finest anti-aging researchers in the world
to speak at this conference. I also intend to have a special session on
suspended animation research. By 1999, I expect there will be results to
report from some of the research currently being funded by The Life Extension
Foundation, as well as hot new findings from the new biotech companies in
the field, and from the larger, more established pharmaceutical companies.

I can also promise that the registration fees for this conference
will be more affordable than the fees charged at many other conferences.

The initial planning for this conference has already begun. Further
planning meetings will take place in the Fall, and I expect to announce a
preliminary program, and early registration in the Spring of next year.

Stay tuned,

---Saul Kent
